Program Overview

Work in the US for up to 12 months! The H2B USA program makes it possible to work in peak season positions at prestigious US resorts. This is your chance to experience life in the US firsthand and work alongside US citizens in temporary employment. Not only does this unique opportunity allow for a genuine US experience, it puts money in your pocket!

Our US partner, Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE), is designated by the US Department of Labor and USCIS to facilitate this H2B USA program. As your program facilitator, CIEE will help you prepare for your experience, obtain the necessary work documents and provide supervision and emergency backup services during the program.

Duration of Program

  • You are permitted to work a minimum of 6 months up to the maximum of 12 months in an approved position.

Eligibility Requirements

You must:

  • be between 18 and 40 years of age
  • be Singaporean, Singapore PR or Malaysian
  • be fluent in spoken and written English
  • be able to support yourself with a minimum of US$750 per month from salary, personal savings or through a guarantor (parents, bank, etc.) throughout the duration of stay in USA

When Is the Program Available?

The Department of Labor and USCIS allocate H2B visa places twice each year.

What Is Included in the Program?

Speedwing administers this program in partnership with US organization CIEE. Participants receive the following:

Before Departure

  • Job Placement Arrangement and Confirmation
  • Legal Work Document
  • Facilitation for opportunities in the US
  • Assistance in Visa Application (preparation of documents and arrangement of interviews)
  • Compulsory Pre-Departure Orientation in Singapore
  • Orientation Package

Upon Arrival in US

  • Travel and Medical Insurance Coverage provided by CIEE for duration of stay in the US
  • Insurance Coverage provided by AIG for duration of program
  • Assistance in applying for Social Security Card when possible
  • 24-hour Emergency Support and Services in the US throughout duration of program
