Program Overview

Looking for a fresh new work environment in exciting Asia? Come to Singapore!

Initiated by the Ministry of Manpower, Singapore, in 2007, the Work Holiday Program is an opportunity for undergraduates and recent graduates from various countries across the globe to experience working and living in Singapore for a minimum of 2 months to a maximum of 6 months. This program will allow participants to explore life in the beautiful garden-city metropolis while seeking temporary employment to help cover living and traveling expenses!

Work Holiday Program is positioned to attract the rising number of well-qualified youths who are traveling abroad to gain exposure and experience foreign cultures. This program allows participants to discover the array of career opportunities available in Singapore and enhance Singapore's reputation as a global talent destination in the long term.

Duration of Program

  • Minimum employment period is 2 months. Maximum employment period is 6 months.
  • Duration of stay in Singapore can be up to 7 months (maximum 6 months of employment followed by an optional maximum 30 days of travel with a tourist visa).
  • The legal Work Holiday Pass is valid for a maximum of 6 months with no option of extension.

Eligibility Requirements
You must:

  • be at least 17 and not more than 30 years of age.
  • undergo an interview before being accepted on the program
  • be a full-time undergraduate or recent graduate from universities in the following countries:
    ‧Australia
    ‧ France
    ‧ Germany
    ‧ Hong Kong
    ‧ Japan
    ‧ New Zealand
    ‧ United Kingdom
    ‧ United States

     

When Is the Program Available?

As jobs do not run by seasons in Singapore, Work Holiday Program Singapore is available all year round. It is, however, subject to job availability

What Is Included in the Program?

With the full program fee, participants will receive the following:

Before Departure

  • Job placement at a company of your industrial preference
  • Assistance in preparation of documents and arrangement of interviews
  • A pre-arrival orientation in home country
  • A participant handbook with information about Work Holiday Program and Singapore

Upon Arrival in Singapore

  • Meet-and-greet upon arrival into Singapore
  • Services for travel & logistics arrangement upon arrival in Singapore
  • Orientation package with information about Singapore
  • Assistance in collection of Work Holiday Pass
  • Assistance in accommodation check-in
  • Assistance in employment and welfare issues
  • 24-hour emergency support & service throughout duration of participation
